Dr. Don's Antioxidant Mouthwash & Gargle
Alternative oral rinse (Antioxidants instead of oxidants)
Our mouthwash is one of the first oral hygiene products
that does not kill bacteria or use cosmetic soaps (Surfactants) to clean
oral tissues. The mouthwash is among the elite rinses to fight bad breath
without alcohol. It is among the first oral hygiene products to fight plaque
and calcification with antioxidant polyphenols (catechins). It is unique
because the vibrant natural color (anthocyanin) is a built in pH indicator.
The power of the mouthwash comes from vitamins and colloidal minerals, which
also act as antioxidants to help maintain healthy saliva. If you have healthy
saliva, you will have less stains, infections and bad breath.
What are antioxidants in oral
cavity?
Oral antioxidants include bioflavonoids (polyphenols and anthocyanins),
vitamin ABCE, minerals (trace and colloidal), anti-adhesives (proanthocyanins)
and organic silica. Oral antioxidants reduce the electricity of saliva
to prevent dissociation of water molecules. Free radicals found in fluoride
antibacterial toothpaste and alcohol antiseptic mouthwash produce oxidants
that dissociate water molecules in saliva. Destroy saliva and you become
vulnerable to infections and bad breath.
Science
The research, by Quebec's Universite Laval, was presented to the American
Association for Dental Research. The Canadian Research team found that polyphenols
in red wine was found to be produce healthy gums (gingival).
Polyphenols was also found to help prevent cardiovascular
disease and even some forms of cancer (breast cancer, etc.). Dental research
has found a direct link of periodontal gum disease and cardiovascular disease.
One link is calcification and polyphenols may be a therapeutic way to prevent
calcification. We know that the effective compound must be polyphenols because
green tea polyphenols has also been found to help prevent cardiovascular disease
and some cancers (prostate cancer).
Polyphenols in Dr. Don’s Antioxidant mouthwash
Before you start using red wine or green tea as a mouthwash, you
will find that red wine contains alcohol and green tea contains caffeine.
The two chemicals may be more harmful than polyphenols beneficial when
used everyday. Like all drugs, abuse leads to doing the opposite of what
it is intended. If either is used once or twice a day in oral hygiene,
instead of cleaning and having healthy gums, there will be staining and
chronic gum disease.
Alcohol may be needed in red wine as a stabilizer of polyphenols
and may be an antiseptic agent. But alcohol is a known lethal agent and
highly addictive. In the oral cavity, alcohol dries the teeth and gums
so that plaque and stains stick to the teeth. Alcohol kills aerobic bacteria
to leave anaerobes to inflict bad breath and chronic gum disease (Periodontitis).
Caffeine is a known stimulant but when heated is a known cause
of tooth staining. Caffeine like alcohol is highly addictive and should
not be used as an oral hygiene product. Heating other caffeine products
known as alkalis also stains teeth such as coffee and hot chocolate. Nicotine
is another chemical that stains teeth when lit as cigarettes.
There are hundreds of polyphenols but the one that has
been found to be healthy for gums is catechin. Dr. Don’s Antioxidant has
polyphenol catechins in the mouthwash. Thanks to EM technology, the catechins
are stabilized by probiotic enzymes so there is no need for alcohol.
Oral polyphenols may serve two purposes in oral hygiene. First
the compound acts as a chelating agent to absorb toxic metals. Second
the compound is an antioxidant to prevent calcification and oxidative stress
that triggers bacteria to secrete plaque biofilms. Current mouthwash products
kill bacteria that produce plaque but fails to kill resistant bacteria
that also produce plaque.
Anthocyanins in Dr. Don’s Antioxidant mouthwash Anthocyanins are the antioxidants that preserve color. When you
bleach dental tissues, the antioxidants are replaced by oxidants. Our
mouthwash preserves the color of oral soft tissues with berry anthocyanins.
The bonus is that the color is a built in pH indicator. Red shows acid
and violet shows alkaline. The mouthwash is introduced as an acid but
absorbed as slightly alkaline.
Vitamins in Dr. Don’s Antioxidant We classify polyphenols and anthocyanins as vitamin antioxidants
because they reduce oxidation to prevent oxides (rust). Also, we consider
any compound that gives life to minerals a vitamin. But we also use known
vitamin C and B complex plus potent Vitamin C like and potent Vitamin E
like antioxidants as well. Instead of vitamin A, the mouthwash contains
Beta Carotene needed to absorb optic light. When optic light is absorbed,
oral tissues have the power to repair. Together all the vitamins along
with colloidal mineral help revitalize and rejuvenate oral tissues.
Bacteriocidal instead of Antibacterial Stuart Levy, past president of the American Academy of Microbiology
and esteemed professor at Tufts University, teaches that resistant bacteria
are the biggest threat in the new millennium. He warns about the abuse
of antibiotics and antibacterial agents. Fran Slater, president of the
Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology agreed
there is reason to worry about the widespread use of antimicrobials.
There are superbugs that may be found in the oral cavity that
can resist almost all chemicals, including triclosan, hexachlorophene and
other of the latest broad spectrum antibacterial agents approved for oral
hygiene by the NIH (National Institute of Health).
Dr. Don’s Antioxidant mouthwash does not kill bacteria because
of the chance of resistant bacteria formation. Instead, the technology
starves bacteria of energy to proliferate and grow into tumors. Energy
is measured in kcal/mol. When only enough kcal is available to repair
cells, bacteria become dormant. Dormant bacteria are mild and harmless
and can work to help scavenge decay and bad breath. The Russians who are
the pioneers of light energy found that 105kcal/mol is needed to replicate
cells. Our mouthwash supplies only 40kcal/mol, enough light energy to
repair.
Try our alternative to alcohol and antibacterial mouthwash. We have
some amazing testimonials including two dentists that found that Dr. Don’s
oral hygiene products not only help gum disease but also was anti-inflammatory.
Polyphenols in the mouthwash are known anti-inflammatory agents.
